APPLICATION

Use a stainless steel trowel or spatula. Meoded offers a wide variety of specialty plaster tools including stainless steel trowels and spatulas used to install Moroccan Clay. If applying light colors, it is recommended to use Meoded’s Whiteout Trowel to avoid formation of dark trowel marks.

First Coat: First coat of Moroccan Clay should be applied thinly and evenly, covering the entire wall. Allow at least 8 hours for the base coat to dry.

Second Coat: If it’s necessary to smooth, lightly sand the first coat with 180-220 grit sandpaper before
proceeding. Be sure to remove all dust and debris before proceeding. Apply the second coat using a tight, overlapping patch technique, spreading the material as far as it will naturally go without pressing too hard.
Avoid heavy pressure, as this can create a minimal shine.
