Ronan Acrylic Clear Overcoat is a solvent based, fast-drying acrylic clear topcoat with UV-inhibitive additives that is specially formulated to provide long lasting protection over painted surfaces including signs, bulletins and sculptures. This coating resists yellowing, oxidation, checking and cracking. It is also ideal for
renewing faded signs.

Acrylic Clear Overcoat is not to be used on raw wood, vinyl, gold leaf or any surface which will come into contact with solvents or harsh cleaning agents. Before using Acrylic Clear Overcoat, a patch test is highly recommended to 1) Determine if Acrylic Clear Overcoat will cause cracking or lifting 2) Test adhesion and 3) Determine whether clear will provide the desired finish (it is especially important to test for clarity over dark colors and whites).

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be clean, free from loose or peeling paint, grease, oil, dirt, rust, mill scale and other contaminants. If this procedure is not observed, the drying and adhesion of any coating will be adversely affected.

APPLICATION

Follow surface preparation instructions. Stir thoroughly before use. May be brushed, rolled or sprayed.

BRUSH: With any good quality bristle brush.

ROLLER: A foam or short nap roller will give the best results. Roll in one direction, rewet, then cross roll.

SPRAY: Apply by airless spray, conventional compressed air or HVLP spray system. Consult spray gun manufacturer’s guide for recommended fluid tip size and air pressure.
