Dead Flat Varnish can be applied by brush, roller or spray equipment. Do not apply when air and surface temperature are below 50ºF (10ºC) or high humidity conditions exist. Optimal application conditions are 60ºF-80ºF (16ºC-27ºC) and 30%-60% relative humidity. For most applications thinning is unnecessary. Stir thoroughly before use. Do Not Shake.
Brushing: Use a high-quality synthetic bristle brush.
Rolling: Use a high-quality, soft short nap roller.
Spraying: Use a HVLP gun, conventional cup gun or airless spray system. If thinning is necessary, add up to 10% (3fl. oz./88.5 ml) of water per quart/946 ml of Dead Flat Varnish. For best results and maximum protection, a minimum of 2 coats is recommended. For exterior surfaces, use Exterior Dead Flat Varnish.
